The Enterprise Information Protection - CSIRT Specialist II responsibilities include proactive and reactive activities including incident response, investigation/analysis, forensic, electronic discovery or legal technology research, formal report writing and testimony, and formal incident investigation.

Job Responsibilities:

- Plan and develop systems and procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency of the department.
- Analyze and document business processes and problems. Develop solutions to enhance efficiencies.
- Coordinate and implement solutions from process analysis and general department projects.
- Conduct incident response, examinations of computers, to develop evidence.
- Receive and maintain the integrity of evidence (Chain-of-Custody).
- Independently plan, organize and devise approaches necessary to respond to incidents and obtain useful forensic information from the evidence submitted, taking into consideration the requirements by agency regulations, federal and state laws - and company policies as they apply.
- Utilize experience and knowledge of a variety of technologies to conduct analysis of submitted evidence to determine their validity and whether the information has forensic significance.
- Prepare formal written reports suitable for legal matters
- Directly responsible for the accuracy and adequacy of the examinations performed.
- Provide forensic and e-Discovery expertise within legal proceedings as required
- Perform test and evaluation of computer and network systems, methods and procedures used to verify and validate e-Discovery procedures and computer forensic methods.
- Conduct product evaluations, and conduct internal product certifications as required.
- Conduct incident and investigations post-mortem briefings, analysis, and reporting as required

Basic Qualifications:

- 8 or more years of progressive experience in information security, computer forensics and investigations or related field.
- Ability to travel up to 15% and participate in a monthly on call rotation schedule
- One of the following (or equivalent) certifications: EnCE, EnCEP, CCE, or CFCE

Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree, Computer Science or Information Technology preferred
- Knowledge and experience with the following operating systems: Windows, Macintosh, Linux or UNIX, and DOS. Must have understanding of information systems security; network architecture; general database concepts; document management; hardware and software troubleshooting; electronic mail systems, such as Exchange; Microsoft Office applications; intrusion tools; and computer forensic tools such as EnCase, Access Data FTK.
- Experience conducting security assessments, penetration testing, and ethical hacking are desirable
- 3 or more years of experience conducting advanced forensic digital examinations or e-Discovery
- 1 or more years of experience responding to information security related incidents such as but not limited to denial of service, phishing, SQL injection, etc.
- CISSP, CISA, Security+, or equivalent certification
